Made it to Banff Canada and decided to stay in a hotel because all our gear and tents were super wet from the rain at North Cascades and it’s below freezing in Canada at night!
Rachel doesn’t like cooking in the rain. Hold up, Rachel just doesn’t like rain but will admit that it makes for really pretty happy forests and lakes.
Sam loves the lakes and doesn’t seem to mind the wet gloomy weather.
Traveling with dogs is hard, traveling with dogs with wet muddy paws is more difficult. Our two pups are great and while sleepy from the over stimulation are handling the trip like pros.
The Subaru is a mess but a beast and holds up great. Under budget with gas money, so the hotel stay isn’t as big a deal cost wise. Confession: it’s nice to be dry, warm and have WiFi.
