One of my all time favorite pieces. I’ve had it hanging in our entry way curing for awhile now, and finally decided to send it out into the world. It’s a large oil painting on gallery quality canvas with mixed media additions including but not limited to: sea shells from the California coast, rolled paper from a 1950s chemistry book, pieces of costume jewelry and coins to make a city scape, falling star, and sun. Created at the end of 2016, set to cure for 7 months before a gloss varnish was applied. Painted on the sides and ready to hang with gallery level d-rings and wire. Cat in first picture obviously is not included, she wanted to model, and it gave a nice sense of scale to the painting.
