Part of my series of figures with birds, an ongoing exploration of the internal emotions and thoughts of the figure represented by birds in her environment. The birds are a metaphor for the internal strife within the figure. Sometimes we have conflicting pieces that reside within us, embracing stillness while simultaneously other aspects of our nature are at war. This piece is about cleansing ourselves, vulnerability, and the struggle for identity.
